St. Jude School heralds the
Good News of Jesus…and in doing so carries out the evangelical mission
of St. Jude Parish and of the Universal Church. Within the environment
of faith and prayer, students hear God’s call….they have the opportunity
to respond, to spread the good news to others and to transform the world
through love, service and justice.
God calls each person to be his or her best self. We are our best
selves when we have knowledge, a love of learning, a sense of self worth
and the dignity of each person, social skills and physical and spiritual
health. St. Jude School cultivates the whole child…we aim to develop
and evaluate skills each student can use to adapt to the ever-changing
world.
We accomplish this mission through the shared commitment of many
people. Parents are the “primary educators and the first school in
which the children learn to live in society and in the Church”…They are
encouraged to participate fully in the life of the school. In their
ministry, teachers try to weave God’s call into the entire curriculum
and to continually improve the education of the students. The
administration guides the entire process of education by motivating
teachers to challenge themselves, individually and as a team, by
supporting families in the loving formation of their children and by
overseeing their development…Students themselves are challenged to
accept all the help offered and make good choices for their own growth.
We entrust all our work and our lives to the guidance of God’s Holy
Spirit, and allow ourselves to be transformed by the Holy Spirit to
create a better world.
