Mrs. Baran's News

In my classroom we dive deeply into exciting subjects and serious thinking!

"Leadership is unlocking people's potential to become better!"

My name is Marilyn Baran.

I am the Science Middle School teacher at St Jude School.  I am certified in Google Basic & Advanced training, and certified Smartboard. I am  a Nearpod Certified Instructor and a STAR DEN Ambassador.  I currently am a 2019 recipient of the  PA Keystone Innovator Award.

My belief as a teacher is to empower the student in learning.  How I accomplish this is with a growth mindset attitude which includes having the student participate in interactive activities which include digital projects, STEM activities, and research while encouraging them to do their best along the way.

In addition to teaching science- I teach English to 7th & 8th Grades.   This year, I will be teaching computer/technology to 4th-8th grades.
